Problem description

You can't login because when you try to login you're greeted with the below error message.

"Error: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress."

Solution

Once you see this message you can fix it by refreshing the page, also known as reloading the web page.

How to refresh or reload a page in your browser

There is a refresh/reload button in the toolbar near the top of your internet browser. It usually looks like an arrow going in a circle.

Examples of the refresh or reload button in different browsers

Backup Plan A

If simply clicking the refresh button doesn't work, then you can try to force a complete refresh (aka a force refresh). Depending on your browser, the keyboard shortcut is...

  • Windows and Linux browsers: CTRL + F5
  • Apple Safari: SHIFT + Reload toolbar button
  • Chrome and Firefox for Mac: CMD + SHIFT + R

Backup Plan B

If both the refresh and force refresh don't work, then a stronger action is to clear your browser cache.

The steps to do this differ slightly depending on which browser you're using. Please go to the website Refresh Your Cache to see instructions for all the major browsers.

If none of the above solutions work, please contact our support and we'll be happy to help you.
